New Life

April 12, 2015 by

Once we celebrate Resurrection Sunday it is easy to move on without thinking about the implications it has for our daily life. This week we are going to look at a passage that further defines what the resurrection means to us as followers of Jesus. What we find is that Jesus did more than die for our sins, as critical as that is, but he has come to give us life, a resurrected life!

Confident Faith

As disciples of Jesus we can have a confident faith. A confident faith is a complete trust in God's ability to work in me and through me. It is the full assurance that his love is enough, he has the right plan for my life, and gives me the power to achieve all he has called me to do for Him. For the next five weeks we are going to explore the book of 1 John to see how we can live out a confident faith that is joyful, meaningful and a testimony to God's goodness and love.

It's All About Jesus

This is a five part series that starts with why it is all about Jesus. Then we are going to look at the Fourfold Gospel to better understand who Jesus is and how we experience him in our daily lives. The Fourfold Gospel states that Jesus is our Savior, Sanctifier (makes us holy), Healer, and Coming King. All this leads up to Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Easter. The season of Lent is an opportunity to reflect on Jesus - who he is and what he has done for us, as well as on ourselves and our need to surrender and repent, and offer ourselves anew to our risen Savior.
