Brad Heltman

Executive Director of Implementation

Brad is a resident of Centre Hall. He grew up in the Penns Valley area and is proud to call the area home. Brad married his high school sweetheart (Becky) in 2002 and they have been blessed with two beautiful children, Jonathan and Neoma. Realizing that God was calling him into vocational ministry, Brad attended Crown College and holds a dual Bachelors degree in Christian Ministry and Biblical Studies. After graduating from Crown College, God led Brad here to Penns Valley Community Church to accept the role of Executive Director of Implementation in August of 2021. Some of the ministry passions that he has revolve around family ministry, discipleship, teaching, and supporting and encouraging others in their ministry. Outside of the church, Brad loves to be with his family, enjoys to go hunting and fishing, and an occasional round of golf.

Carrie Porter

Church Administrator

After returning to State College upon graduating from Slippery Rock University, Carrie joined the team of individuals and families, including her future husband, John, who were called to plant Penns Valley Community Church in 2003.  Carrie then had the opportunity to join the staff team as the part- time Administrator in 2009.  Over the years, the role has grown and changed but Carrie has remained thankful for a job that doesn’t feel like a job! In her down time, Carrie enjoys being outside, working in her flower gardens, catching up with friends over a good cup of coffee, and hiking and spending time with John and their four daughters, Claire, Lillie, Edyn and Violet.

Mike Durn

Elder

Hello, my name is Mike Durn. I was born and raised in south Jersey, but my college and eventually my career in education brought me to Central Pennsylvania. I have been attending Penns Valley Community Church for about 12 years and have been a member for 11 of those 12 years. My ministry passions include helping and leading with worship and also serving as the ministry head of our church’s Divorcecare and Divorcecare for kids ministries. My wife Amy and I have four children, ranging in ages from 24 to 11. Some of my other passions include goal, hunting, fishing, and the Philadelphia Phillies. I look forward to the continued growth of the various ministries at PVCC as they continue to reach people who need Christ’s love!

Ricky Grimminger

Elder

Hello, I am Ricky Grimminger.  I grew up in Huntingdon, Pa, but my work and wife took me to Bellefonte, PA where we reside.  I have been attending Penns Valley Community Church for about 12 years and have been a member for 10 of those 12 years.  My ministry passions include discipleship making and helping out with larger events such as our community Thanksgiving meal.  My wife, Pam, has been attending Penns Valley Community Church for longer than I have been – 15 plus years as she grew up in Centre Hall.  In November of 2021, Pam and I were blessed with the birth of our first child, Kate.  She is the vocal one, typically seen with her Papa.  Some of my other passions include shooting sporting clays and hunting both upland and waterfowl game.  I am also currently a board member of the Penns Valley Youth Center.
